2013 Golden Turtle Award

St. Charles Mayor Donald DeWitte

During the St. Charles City Council meeting on April 15,  Mayor Donald DeWitte was presented the 2013 Golden Turtle Award.  Reverend Al Patton and Jennifer Biddle, the outgoing chair of the River Corridor Foundation of St.Charles, presented the award.

Mayor DeWitte has been generous with his time and has been a great listener, providing encouragement and advice.  He has been supportive of our project to improve the landscaping along the Bob Leonard Walkway and along the Fox River in general.  Thank you for your service to our community: you will be missed.  – Jennifer Biddle

Mayor Dewitte accepted the award and said it was an honor to receive, especially since he has had the privilege to present the award to past winners.

The differences are visible; you can see the improvements being made all along the river walk in St. Charles.  It is because of the work of the River Corridor Foundation the riverfront continues to get better and better.
