Bob Leonard Walkway Legacy Brick Sale

Establish your legacy. The River Corridor Foundation is offering supporters an opportunity to become a lasting part of the Bob Leonard Walkway. Engraved 4 x 4 brick pavers will be laid throughout the walkway and are for sale for $100 each. You can order your brick today by clicking on the image below or download the order form.


Bob Leonard 5K Run and Walk-a-Thon

Starting LineThis event is held annually in downtown St. Charles and acts as the foundation’s main fundraising event. Help the River Corridor attain it’s goal by participating in this event either by running, walking, making a private donation or sponsoring the event.

2012 Bob Leonard 5K Run & Walk-A-Thon

Enjoy scenic views of the Fox River in downtown St. Charles during the Bob Leonard 5K Run and Walk-A-Thon Saturday, August 11, 2012. The event begins and ends in Pottawatomie Park, 8 North Avenue, St. Charles, IL. For the $25 entry fee, each person will receive a technical-weave performance T-shirt. For a minimum donation of $50, each will receive a performance T-shirt, River Corridor Foundation anti-microbial fitness towel and entry into the prize drawing. All runners and walkers are invited to stay for the grand prize drawing, refreshments and musical entertainment immediately following the walk at the Grand Pavilion in Pottawatomie Park. 

5K Challenge Run Details

Beginning and finishing in Pottawatomie Park, the 5K Challenge crosses the Fox River before heading north into the hills of Timber Trails Park. The course is USATF certified and the run will be chip timed. The 5K Run begins at 8 a.m. with sign in starting at 7 a.m.

Medals will be given in male and female categories to the top three finishers for the following age ranges: 12-19, 20–29, 30–39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+. Additional prizes will be awarded to 1st Place finishers and to Best Overall Time winners. The medal ceremony will be held at Pottawatomie Park.

Walk-A-Thon Details

Gather the family and take a walk along the Fox River through downtown St. Charles. The 2.7 mile journey also begins and ends in Pottawatomie Park with a turnaround point in Mount St. Mary Park. This route is pet and stroller friendly. The Walk-A-Thon begins at 9:30 a.m. with sign in starting at 8:45 a.m.

Walkers are encouraged to raise pledges for this event. A prize will be awarded to the walker who contributes the greatest amount of pledges.

A St. Charles Noon Rotary and Fox River Corridor Benefit Concert

A benefit concert that will help support giving scholarships to St. Charles students as well as beautification projects for our wonderful City! Featuring The Henhouse Prowlers with special guest Fox Valley Grass. For more information check out the flyer.
